Hello band families! I hope you have had a restful month off. The guard and percussion sections have been hard at work during June and we're so excited to get everyone together to start our summer rehearsals. Please review the information below to prepare for practice, and please review the post titled "June Update" for information about band camp paperwork.
Practice & Picnic
4th of July practices are Thursday, 9a-12a, Friday, 3p-6p with the picnic right after from 6p-8p (Please RSVP!), and Monday, 9a-12p.
Wear running shoes (no crocs, sandals, vans, converse etc.) and lightweight, breathable clothing. Bring the following items with you to rehearsal.
Field Bag — This is a backpack that you will carry with you during rehearsal. Make sure it's one that you don't mind getting sweaty! You will keep all of your rehearsal items in here.
LARGE Water Jug — Think a half gallon or gallon insulated jug. Fill it with ice before practice and bring it with you everywhere!
Sunscreen — apply before practice and keep a bottle in your field bag
3 Ring Binder with Plastic Sheets & pen/pencil — The only music you need for these rehearsals is "This Is My Country." We will have copies of everything else you need
Fees
The second band camp fee installment of $125 is due on June 29th. You may pay with check (made out to Dublin Music Boosters,) cash (in a sealed envelope with your band member's name on the front,) or online. The online payment portal will open on June 29th.
If you were unable to attend uniform night, please plan to pay your uniform fee ($30 ww/brass/perc, $50 guard) and food fee ($30) this week as well.
Uniforms
Summer uniforms will be distributed during practice once they arrive. I will send out an email when I receive delivery information. If you did not order a summer uniform, email Mr. Doherty (doherty_andy@dublinschools.net) immediately so that he can help you!
If you were unable to make it to the distribution night, we will send out more information for the next phase of fittings shortly. Keep an eye on your inbox!
