We Need You!
We need volunteers to work the concession stand and our home game cookie table! These opportunities are a great way to get involved and be part of the band!

Attendance Policy
Attendance is the most vital component of a successful marching band program. Absences, no matter the reason, have a negative impact on the achievement and environment of the entire group. Marching Band is a co-curricular class, and attendance is a portion of the grade for the class. An Absence is anytime a student is not physically present at a scheduled rehearsal time. This includes a student not being present for a portion of rehearsal (tardy or leaving early) as well as not being present for an entire rehearsal.
THE ONLY EXCUSABLE ABSENCES FOR REHEARSALS ARE
Pre-arranged school conflicts and illness with a doctor’s note
Death in the family
Religious holiday
Absences will be excused at the discretion of the directors. A parent note does not automatically excuse the student.
If you miss a day of school, you ARE still able to participate in practice or the week's performances. Band is a co-curricular class so the DCS athletic policy does not apply.
Consequences
One unexcused absence — Removal from performance, loss of points
Two excused absences — Removal from performance, no loss of points
Continued unexcused absences — expulsion from the ensemble
Unexcused Absence Examples
Birthday celebrations, concerts, out of season sports practices
Reporting Absences
All absences should be reported to Ms. Aubihl at aubihl_megan@dublinschools.net. She will let you know if your absence is excused or unexcused.

Information
We will wear summer uniforms for this week's game. This means your marching band shoes, grey shorts and new shirt. Wear shorter black socks. It's ok to see your socks, they just should go to your calf.
You may wear sunglasses in the stands and as we march into/out of the stadium, but not on the field during performance.
Personal items should be left on the bus or at the school. You may bring your phone into the stadium, but it should be away during the game.
Bring your water jug with you to all games.
At every football game, the students will have 3rd quarter off. Students can say hi to family, get food from the concessions, and meet the other band. However, visitors are not allowed at the band stands at any point in the game. Students must be in their seats with one minute remaining in 3rd quarter. Failure to be in your seat by the time we start to play will result in the loss of your 3rd quarter privileges the following week.
