Summer Training Begins!

We're excited to start up our summer rehearsals on Tuesday, July 1st! If you haven't spent much time outside this summer, please acclimate yourself to the heat this week. Get outside and take a walk, ride a bike, go to the pool, or any other activity that gets you in the sun!

July 4th Practices

• Dates

  • July 1, 2, 3 from 9a-1p at Scioto

  • Full details for the parade will be released on July 1st.

• Summer Uniforms

  • Summer uniforms will be passed out during rehearsal.

• Materials — You should have these items with you at every practice

  • Backpack that you don't mind getting sweaty

  • Running shoes (absolutely no Crocs, Birkenstocks, sandals, etc.)

    • A pair of nice running shoes will help you feel great the entire rehearsal. They relieve pressure from your feet and back, make it easier to march with great technique, reduce fatigue, and help you stay healthy throughout the season. Shoes with no support like Converse or Vans are just as bad for your body as marching in sandals.

  • Breathable athletic clothing

  • Large water jug with ice

    • You water jug should hold at least 40oz of water. Something like this is cheap, will last all season, and can carry all the ice/water you need!

  • Sunscreen — keep it in your field bag at all times

  • 3 ring binder with plastic sheets and the following pieces of music. All of the music is in the password protected page on the "Members" tab. The password is "IrishBand"

    • This is My Country (in the stand tunes folder)

    • The Knockout (all parts)

Fees

• All members are responsible for the following fees

  • All three band camp payments

    • Payment 1 — past due

    • Payment 2 — due 7/1

    • Payment 3 — due 7/16

  • Uniform Fee

  • Food Fee

• Any member of the colorguard, low reed, mello, baritone, tuba, or percussion section are responsible for the School-Owned Equipment Fee

• Any member who ordered a new pair of shoes will need to pay the shoe fee.

• Click this link to pay your fees! You can add all of the required items to your cart and checkout online. If you'd prefer, you can send in a check.

Uniforms

• If you have not been fitted for a uniform, Ms. Aubihl will fit you during a practice.

• Summer uniforms will be passed out at the July 1st practice.

• Shoe orders will arrive prior to the first football game.

Needs

• Please visit the band camp tab to review the packet and complete your band camp forms.

• Forms are due no later than July 16th.
