Concert Week!

Spring Band & Orchestra Concert

Thursday, May 11th, 7p — Dublin Scioto PAC

  • Report Times

    • You should be ready to play and in uniform at the report time.

    • If you are performing in Pirates — 5:30

    • Jazz Band — 6p

    • If you are not performing in Pirates — 6:30p

  • Students will be seated in the audience while the other groups are performing. We will have sections taped off for each ensemble. Plan to stay the length of the concert.

Prism Concert

Tuesday, May 16th — 7p

  • What is the Prism Concert?

    • The Prism Concert features soloists, chamber events, and ensemble performances. This concert is extremely unique, featuring performances from the band, choir, and orchestra students that are staged all around the PAC. Each performance transitions immediately to the next performer. You will hear many genres of music, including Jazz, Pop, and much more!

    • The Prism Concert is not a required event, but we encourage everyone to come and support our students!

  • Prism Rehearsal — Monday, May 15th from 3:00-5:00p — performers only

    • The logistics of this concert are very difficult and require a full dress rehearsal. We hope to have practice wrapped up by 5:00p, but we might run over a bit.

  • Prism Concert

    • See an email with Mr. Berkebile for your specific report time.

    • The concert starts at 7p. We ask that the audience remain seated during the entire performance and that you hold your applause until the end of the concert. Holding your applause shortens the concert by about 15 minutes!

Help!

  • The Dublin Music Boosters are looking for concessions volunteers for this Friday's (5/12) district dodgeball tournament being held at Coffman High School. Since this is a district event, we need volunteers from all three schools to help out. Show your support by volunteering for one of the available shifts. Volunteers get in for free and is a great way to socialize with other band parents. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Dan Miller at buckeyedanno@gmail.com or 614-949-2933. Click here for the Dodgeball Sign Up!

  • In addition, Scioto is hosting an additional girls lacrosse playoff game next Monday, May 15. We are in need of a couple concessions volunteers for this game. Click here to support our students!

Summer Uniforms

  • The summer uniform will launch this week! Keep an eye on your email for updates. The store will be open until May 26th.

  • The polo will be the same as last year. All incoming freshmen will need to order a polo. Returning members will not need to order a polo.

  • We are updating the summer uniform shorts. All members, returning and new, will need to purchase the shorts. We have sizing samples if you would like to try them on before/after school.

Marching Band Practice & Family Meeting — 5/23, 6:00-8:30

Family Meeting 7:30-8:30

  • This rehearsal is for current 8-11th graders and color guard. Please wear athletic clothes and running shoes. Bring your instrument and a water bottle. We can't wait to kick off the season!

  • We ask that all parents/guardians join us for the final hour of practice (7:30-8:30) for a meeting that will cover several important items for the summer. Please plan to attend! If you are unable to make the meeting, please email doherty_andy@dublinschools.net
