General Information

• Show your marching band spirit! Support the band with a personalized 24"x18" yard sign featuring your student’s name, graduation year, and instrument/role. Each sign is $27 (includes stake).

  Orders are open now through September 15 and will be submitted in batches—the earlier you order, the sooner your sign arrives. Signs will be ready for pickup after band practice (we’ll post updates in GroupMe).

  • Submit one form per sign.

  • Proof images may look neon green, but final signs will be the correct Scioto green.

We need your help!

• Help us sell concessions at all home Football and Field Hockey games: Sign Up

• Help us keep the students safe on trips to away games and band competitions as a bus chaperone: Sign Up

• Donate cookies and water to be shared with our students and visiting bands at our cookie table during 3rd quarter at home games. We also need volunteers to manage the table during 3rd quarter: Sign Up

• Drive groups of 4 students to various neighborhoods while they go door-to-door collecting donations during our annual Fund Drive night on Sept. 10th: Sign Up

Home vs. Thomas Worthington HS — Friday, 9/5

Itinerary

• 3:00-5:00 — Band room closed

• 5:15 — Report to practice field with instrument, dot sheets, water, and any other equipment

• 6:00 — Rehearsal ends, change into uniforms

• 6:35 — March into stadium

• 6:45 — Pregame

• 7:00 — Kick-off

• 9:30 — Anticipated end time

Information

• We will wear contest uniforms for this weeks game

• Reminder: there is no food or drink (aside from water) in the stands during games. You must be in your seat with one minute remaining on the clock in 3rd quarter. Failure to be on time results in the loss of next week's third quarter privilege

• No guests, friends, or family are permitted to enter the band stand area during the game. All volunteers must pick up a badge from Mr. Berkebile prior to the game to gain access to our area.

OMEA Licking Heights — Saturday, 9/6

Itinerary

• 12:45 — Rehearsal STARTS

  • Report to the stadium (tentative)

• 3:45 — EPL (eat, pack, load)

• 5:10 — Depart for Licking Heights HS

• 5:55 — Arrive at Licking Heights HS

• 6:55 — Warm up

• 8:00 — HAVE A SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE!

• 9:30 — Awards

• 10:15 — Depart for Dublin Scioto

• 10:45 — Arrive at Dublin Scioto

• Food

  • Thank you to the Dublin Music Boosters for providing a dinner for us after our practice!

    • Menu: Taco Bowls including ground beef with gluten free taco seasoning, shredded chicken, black beans, rice, and tortilla chips. Toppings are shredded lettuce, salsa, sour cream, and hot sauce. Dessert is provided. Allergy friendly desserts will be available as well.

  • The Licking Heights concession stand will be open, so please bring cash/card

  • We will wear full contest uniform — more information tomorrow on specific hair, underclothes, etc.
