Congratulations, everyone on a SUPERIOR performance! We had an incredible performance and we are extremely proud of your hard work! Thank you to the band for being incredible role models for the 8th graders. It was a great night!


It's a busy week with our first ever Bands of America Regional competition! Please carefully read the spectator guidelines in the contest schedule. There are many differences between BOA and OMEA performances. If you're interested in learning more about Bands of America, click here!

9/20 — @ Worthington Kilbourne Battle of Hard Road!

Itinerary

  • 5:00p — Report to Scioto, change, load

  • 5:45p — Depart for Worthington Kilbourne

  • 6:00p — Arrive at Worthington Kilbourne

  • 7:00p — Kick-off

  • 9:30p — Anticipated end time

  • 10:15p — Anticipated arrival at Scioto

  • We are in full uniform for this performance. Please review the full uniform rules from the previous update for more information.

  • Since we have an early morning for the Obetz competition, we will leave a majority of the equipment on the trailer at the end of the night


9/21 BOA Obetz

Itinerary

  • 7:00a — Report to Scioto, brief warm up

  • 7:45a — Load wind instruments and remaining items

  • 8:00a — Depart for Fortress Obetz

  • 8:45a — Arrive at Fortres Obetz

  • 10:45a — PRELIMINARY PERFORMANCE

  • 11:15a — Load equipment, change

  • 11:30a — Lunch at the picnic area only (details below)

  • 12:30p — Free time in the stadium (details below)

  • 3:45p — In the stands to watch and support Dublin Coffman

  • 4:30p — Prelim Awards

  • 5:00p — Load and depart for Dublin Scioto


Spectator Information

  • Tickets & Parking

  • Security

    • Bands of America encourages spectators not to bring bags into venues. Only clear bags and emergency bags will be permitted.

    • Spectators will be allowed to bring items such as cameras, provided they are not in cases that would violate the bag policy at that venue.

    • No food or drink will be permitted to enter the stadium.

  • Photography

    • Use of cameras of any kind is NOT ALLOWED on the field (field, sidelines, stadium floor) for any BOA event. Please communicate this to your parent/booster group.

    • Still cameras (digital or film, professional or otherwise) are allowed in the stadium and may be used from stadium seating, but not on the field.

  • Event Merchandise

    • Official BOA merchandise will be on sale in the courtyard during the day.

    • You can also order items online, here.

    • Regional Championship Patches are available for pre-order at the online store.

  • Live Streaming of all Bands of America Championships

    • All Bands of America Regional, Super Regional, and Grand National Championships will be livestreamed, powered by BOX5 Media.

    • Subscribe to the whole season or watch by event at BOALive.tv.


Student Information

  • You should arrive at Scioto in halves. this will help the transition from warm-up to the buses. Bring a change of clothes for after our performnace.

  • Lunch is provided by the Dublin Music Boosters (thank you!) and can only be consumed at the designated "picnic area."

  • "Free time" in the stadium means that you will have time to visit the concession stands and food trucks, shop for merchandise, and watch bands!

    • At no point should students leave the stadium, for any reason.

    • While you are at the Regional, wether you are in or out of uniform, you are representing the Dublin Scioto Band. You should act accordingly.

    • Be respectful of all bands. Cheer for everyone and keep any negative commentary to yourself.

    • Refrain from talking and texting during other bands performances.
